Overview
Verbena Essential Oil is a dazzling green oil with a uniquely sweet, citrusy and earthy fragrance. Itās made from the youngest, richest leaves, harvested by hand with sharp, sterilized secateurs at the end of spring, just as the first flowers open and before the summer heat, when the leaves hold their most concentrated essence. Some producers harvest at any time of year; ours waits for that moment.
In aromatherapy, verbena oil is a favorite for its bright, uplifting scent. A few drops in the diffuser fill a room with a fresh, sunny citrus note that feels like an open window on a spring morning.
Ways to use verbena essential oil
- In the diffuser: the easiest way to enjoy it. Start with 3ā5 drops and add more if you like.
- As a room mist: add a few drops to a homemade room spray, shake well and mist into the air.
- In a blend: verbena lifts florals and brightens other citrus oils. Try one of the blends below.
Diffuser blends to try
- Sunny morning: 3 drops verbena, 2 drops Lemon, 1 drop Grapefruit
- Calm evening: 2 drops verbena, 3 drops Lavender
- Garden fresh: 2 drops verbena, 2 drops Geranium Rose, 1 drop Bergamot
- Cool and green: 2 drops verbena, 2 drops Lime, 1 drop Spearmint
Can I use verbena oil on my skin?
We make it for the diffuser and room mists, not for skincare. Verbena oil can irritate skin at full strength and can make skin more sensitive to the sun. If it does touch your skin, dilute it well and keep that area out of strong sunlight.
Keep out of reach of children, and check with your doctor if pregnant or under a doctorās care.

How to use
Diffuse: 3ā5 drops for a sunny, sweet-citrus room.
Around the home: add a few drops to a homemade room mist, shake well and spray into the air.
For external use only. Always dilute in a carrier oil before use on skin, and patch-test a small area first. Keep away from eyes, inner ears and other sensitive areas.
Sun: some essential oils, especially citrus oils, can make skin more sensitive to sunlight. Donāt apply to skin that will be in the sun within 12 hours unless itās well diluted.
Pregnancy and health: if youāre pregnant, nursing, taking medication or under a doctorās care, ask your doctor before use.
Do not swallow. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
